Attendance Review Council

The Vision of the Attendance Review Council (ARC) is to increase the overall well-being of our communities by promoting the significance of education within families and improving student attendance in Hawaii’s public schools. ARC is an organic blend of local and statewide agencies, businesses, and nonprofits addressing chronic absenteeism at the root. They empower families by providing a holistic support system with resources and hold students and families accountable through a community council in order to increase school attendance and overall educational success. ARC was implemented in the Wai'anae and Kapolei school complexes in 2018 and has helped over 31 students improve their attendance.
